Snow

December 17, 2018

Yes, it snows in San Diego!  Not very often, but the vineyard starts at 3100’ above sea level and goes up to 3750’; so, it happens here.  The snow usually melts within a day, but this storm left so much snow it was on the ground for a few weeks!  The neighbors report that on rare occasions, Cal Trans has even shut Highway 8 down.  That hasn’t happened in our 12 years, but a few years ago it snowed on Christmas Day…..  It was spectacular, and we always hope that happens again!
