Yes, it snows in San Diego! Not very often, but the vineyard starts at 3100’ above sea level and goes up to 3750’; so, it happens here. The snow usually melts within a day, but this storm left so much snow it was on the ground for a few weeks! The neighbors report that on rare occasions, Cal Trans has even shut Highway 8 down. That hasn’t happened in our 12 years, but a few years ago it snowed on Christmas Day….. It was spectacular, and we always hope that happens again!
