Hydroseed

We’ve protected the vineyard for the upcoming rainy season by hydroseeding the entire 1.6 acres.  We’re looking forward to having a functional and beautiful ground cover crop.  The job was managed by Anthony at Canyon Hydroseed.  The protective matrix was loaded with seeds for the vineyard cover crop provided by Stover Seed.  It includes clover and vetch to help set an appropriate level of Nitrogen in the soil.  It also contains a good number of native and drought tolerant flowering annual and perennial plants.  We do hope those germinate and return every year.  We’ll definitely post those pictures.
